Privacy

This is a portfolio site for a working videographer. It has no advertising network, no tracking pixels, no analytics script, and no account system. The short version is that it collects almost nothing, and what it does collect is the ordinary record a web server keeps in order to serve pages.
What the server records
Pages are served by nginx behind Cloudflare. Every request writes one line to an access log containing:
- your IP address and country, as reported by Cloudflare
- the date and time, and the page or file requested
- the HTTP status, the number of bytes sent, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string
These logs are used to see whether the site is working and how quickly it is serving. They are not combined with anything else, not sold, and not shared. Requests for images, stylesheets, scripts and fonts are not logged at all.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a cookie to keep the site fast and to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. Nothing on this site reads that cookie.
Booking a call
The booking window opens Google Appointment Scheduling inside a frame. If you book a time, the details you type go to Google and to my calendar, under Google's privacy policy, not this site's. Nothing you type there passes through this server.
The email address on this site is revealed only when you click to reveal it, which keeps it away from address harvesters. If you email me, I keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful to the work, in the ordinary way any business keeps its mail.
Video and images
Video and stills are served directly from this server. Nothing is embedded from YouTube, Vimeo or a social network on the archive pages, so those companies do not see you browsing here. Where a page links out to a published piece, following that link takes you to that publisher and their rules apply from that point.
The gear page and affiliate links
Some links on the gear page are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Following such a link takes you to the retailer, who will know you arrived from here and will apply their own privacy policy and cookies. This site does not track which links you click, and does not receive any information about what you looked at or bought beyond an aggregate commission report from the programme.
Children
This is a professional portfolio and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices
Because there is no account, no profile and no advertising identifier, there is very little to request or delete. If you have emailed me and would like that correspondence removed, ask and I will remove it. Server access logs rotate on their own and are not indexed by person.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
